Barbara Bayne has qualifications and experience in regional economics, economic modelling, management, marketing and intellectual disabilities. She has had considerable involvement in research and applied projects, both in Queensland and Australia, in the area of economic impact analysis, policy, planning, development and implementation of services for federal, state and local government and the private sector. Barbara currently manages the Centre for Economic Policy Modelling at the School of Economics, the University of Queensland, and is responsible for its strategic planning and development as well as its day to day operations. She is a member (part-time) of the Queensland Guardianship and Administration Tribunal and a Board member of the Independent Living Centre Association Inc.
